Towfiq Habib Chinoy (Chairman)

Mr. Towfiq Habib Chinoy holds extensive professional experience and executive leadership accomplishments in business and philanthropy. He has been associated with International Industries Limited (IIL) since 1964 and served as its Managing Director for 37 years. As the founder of International Steel Limited (ISL) and a current Executive Director on ISL’s board, he has contributed significantly to the steel industry. Mr. Chinoy has also served on various advisory boards and as Chairman of several reputable companies, including Jubilee General Insurance Company Ltd. and Packages Ltd. Mr. Chinoy is a Trustee of the Habib University Foundation and the Mohatta Palace Gallery Trust. He continues to apply his diplomatic skills and passion for progress to strategic governance efforts, serving as an Advisor to both IIL & ISL and contributing to the philanthropic endeavors of Karachi Relief Trust (KRT).

Adnan Asdar Ali

Adnan holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and an M.S. in Forensic Engineering from the University of Minnesota. With over 30 years of experience in structural and forensic engineering, Adnan co-founded Multinet Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd. and currently serves as its Chief Executive. He has overseen diverse project management portfolios, emphasizing construction management, quality control, and testing procedures. Adnan plays a pivotal role in philanthropic efforts, particularly in housing schemes for low-income areas and disaster management initiatives. He is deeply involved with Karachi Relief Trust (KRT), co-founding it in 2007 and managing its volunteer efforts on the field, focusing on immediate relief and home reconstruction in flood-affected areas of Pakistan.

Aslam Khaliq

Aslam Khaliq is presently serving as Chairman of Reckitt Benckiser (Pakistan) Ltd. He was the former chairman and adviser of Pakistan Tobacco Company Ltd, a subsidiary of British American Tobacco Company, which employs over 100,000 people, with operations in around 180 countries, and is the market leader in more than 50 countries selling over 300 brands. He is also presently Chairman of the Hunar Foundation & CHAL Foundation (both Not-for-profit NGOs), besides being on the Board of Governors of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Karachi Relief Trust (KRT) & PIA Investments. He has served on the Boards of Oil & Gas Development Company Ltd, National Data and Registration Authority (NADRA), Govt. of Pakistan (GOP), Islamabad Stock Exchange, Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission Bio-Sciences (Pvt.) Ltd & Pakistan International Airline (PIA). He has also served as a member of the Board of Governors of Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture, Karachi, the National Vocational and Training Commission, GOP, and the Intellectual Property Organization, GOP.

Shams Rafi

Shams Rafi graduated from the Karachi American School in 1986 before pursuing a BSc in Finance degree from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA (USA). After graduating from college, he worked at The Crescent Textile Mills, Ltd. (in Faisalabad, Pakistan) as a management trainee. In 1991 he joined Itochu Corporation at their offices in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan. There he worked in the textile department and gained insights into Japanese management and manufacturing techniques. Upon his return to Pakistan, he helped set up Crescent Bahuman Limited, and Pak-US vertically integrated denim plant. Since then he has established another joint venture, Renfro Crescent (Pvt.) Ltd., and has been CEO of a publicly listed firm, Jubilee Spinning & Weaving Mills, Ltd. Shams has served in various capacities in the textile industry’s lobbying arm, the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association. He has been involved in philanthropic, cultural, and social activities for most of his working career, including The Kidney Centre and the Karachi Relief Trust (KRT).

Shahid Abdullah

Shahid Abdulla received his Bachelor's in Architecture from the University of Illinois, Chicago. With a rich background in architecture, Shahid co-founded Arshad Shahid Abdulla (Pvt.) Ltd., where he oversees interior design and residence departments. He has been instrumental in founding institutions like the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture and The Hunar Foundation. Shahid continues to contribute to the design processes at ASA, providing guidance and nurturing new professionals. He remains actively involved in philanthropic activities, including Karachi Relief Trust (KRT), contributing his expertise to its endeavors in disaster relief and home reconstruction.

Tariq Iqbal Mian

Tariq Mian attended The Karachi Grammar School before earning an Industrial Engineering Degree from the University of Houston. He spent the initial decade of his career in Schlumberger in various field and management roles in the oilfield industry across several countries. He then founded Image Graphic Solutions (Pvt.) Ltd., a company that pioneered Digital Printing in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. and is Director at EMPACT! Activation Services, the largest brand activation company in Pakistan. Tariq has set up and sold other ventures, including Image Graphic Solutions Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd and AbacusTec, a medical transcription services company. Tariq is actively engaged in philanthropy and social causes. He is the Founding Trustee and Excom member of Karachi Relief Trust (KRT), focusing on disaster relief and rehabilitation. In addition to his involvement with The Behbud Association and other NGO/NPOs, Tariq is an Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver with specializations in various areas. He enjoys outdoor activities such as trekking, paragliding, camping, spearfishing, and organic farming.

Khayam_Husain

Khayam Husain

Khayam Husain attended Karachi Grammar School before obtaining a business degree from the University of Houston. Later, he earned his MBA from Pepperdine University. Khayam began his career as a Market Training Manager with PepsiCo. He is presently the Managing Director of the Automobile Corporation of Pakistan (AUTOCOM), a leading manufacturer of semi-trailers and petroleum tankers. Khayam is actively engaged in various professional and philanthropic endeavors. He is a member of the International Chamber of Commerce, the International Road Federation, and the UN TIR Commission for Pakistan. He currently serves as the President of the Public Interest Law Association of Pakistan (PILAP), dedicated to issues like education and the environment. Additionally, Khayam sits on the board of several NPOs/NGOs and has been a partner of Acumen in Pakistan since 2013. He serves as a Trustee and Executive Committee member of Karachi Relief Trust (KRT), focusing on disaster relief and rehabilitation.

Mrs. Mahboob Khan

Mrs. Mahboob Khan obtained her B.Sc. (1982) and Diploma in Architecture (1985) from the Bartlett School of Architecture, University of London. With over 30 years of experience, Mrs. Khan has established herself as a prominent architect. She co-founded Arcop with Mr. Yawar Jilani in 1989, where her expertise in planning and architectural design flourished. Her portfolio spans various sectors including hospitality, institutional, educational, commercial, residential, and religious projects, as well as urban and rural development. As a founding member of the Karachi Chapter Architecture for Humanity and PANI-People and Nature Initiative, Mrs. Khan has actively contributed to socially responsible projects. She collaborates with local NGOs like Karachi Relief Trust (KRT) and The Citizen Foundation (TCF), focusing on initiatives in low-cost healthcare and community development projects.

Nazim Fida Hussain Haji

Nazim Haji stepped into the field of business in 1970. Later on, he was also elected as the Chairman of the SITE association. Thereafter, Nazim Haji along with some other like-minded people formed CPLC for which he served as the Chief voluntarily till 1996. He was awarded Sitara-E-Shujaat in 1993.He has been a board member of KDA, E.P.Z.A. & E.O.B.I. Currently, Mr. Nazim is a board member of Infaq Foundation, CPLC’s advisory board, the Governing Board of the Professional Education Foundation, Workers Employers Bilateral Council of Pakistan, Oversite Committee for Prisons (Sindh), Karachi Relief Trust (KRT) & also of Sindh Board of Investment.
